Carolina is a juggernaut this year and they get to play against a team that finally won their first game against a bottom third team in the league. I hope that this pulls people away from Carolina but I highly doubt it. Like the first matchup between these two, everyone on the Canes is, at worst, a GPP play. I expect the Canes to put up the highest goal total tonight and I will start any lineup I make with them. The PP units are great and I also love blue chip prospect Seth Jarvis as a min priced punt.
Sillinger (4400), Nyquist (2600), Roslovic (3400), Bean (2600), Chinakov (2500)
Rantanen, Makar, Burakovsky, Toews, and Nichuskin are all out for the Avalanche tonight, which means I want to go against them. All five of those players are above average defensive players for the Avs so we get a surprisingly deep Columbus team that could score a bunch. I love the prices of the 2nd PP unit but you can play the 1st as well.
GPP Pivots
Schenn (5100), Perron (6300), Krug (5000)
The Kings are also ravaged by injuries, but not nearly as bad as the Avs. With everyone paying up for Carolina, Edmonton, and probably what’s left in Colorado, I think the Blues get a great matchup that no one will play. If you don’t want to use the expensive guys, you can use the other cheaper plays here as it should be a good matchup for everyone.
Goalies:
Chalk: Johansson, Andersen
Pivots: Korpisalo, Binnington
