11/8/21 NHL Main Slate Analysis and Breakdown

High Priority

Ovechkin (9200), Wilson (5400), Carlson (6200), Kuznetsov (7500)

The Caps were never a super deep team going into this season, but with the injuries to Mantha, Backstrom, and Oshie, we see a team struggling to get scoring from anywhere else in the lineup other than the first line. If you want to fly with the rest of the field, then you can surely lock in an Ovi on a mission. At 9200 and probably 50%+ ownership, I understand if you want to go away from this one. The Caps are going to rely heavily on the top line and unit to score for a bit along with a Buffalo matchup making them a great play.

Tavares (6800), Marner (7500), Matthews (8900), Reilly (5700), Nylander (7300)

Another very obvious spot on this tiny slate is the Maple Leafs starting to get the puck luck figured out. They’ve scored at least 4 goals in three of their last four games and mostly on the back of Mitch Marner. Just stack the 1st power play unit and go from there. I also don’t mind Sandin and Kase as cheap punts.

GPP Pivots

Barkov (6100)

One of the most critical pieces of news on this slate is that elite center Aleksander Barkov is a game time decision. If he’s out, then Florida in total is too cheap and you can stack them up to supplement your expensive Leaf or Cap stacks. If he’s announced in, then we will get an elite scorer at about 1000 too cheap and no ownership. He will be a massive difference maker on this slate if he’s playing.
