11/9/21 NHL Main Slate Analysis and Breakdown

High Priority

Teravainen (5400), Aho (7100), Svechnikov (7200), DeAngelo (5100), Slavin (3600), Jarvis (2500)

The Canes are certainly in the conversation for best team in the league and a lot of that has to do with the breakout of Andrei Svechnikov as an elite winger. If you want to pay up for a fully correlated stack, then this is my preferred route on the slate. Teravainen is way too cheap tonight and is a great one-off if you don’t want to stack here. If you want to get cheap, Jaccob Slavin has moved to the 2nd power play unit and has shown some offensive chops when given the opportunity. I also love punting on a high upside guy like Seth Jarvis.

McDavid (9200), Draisaitl (9100), Puljujarvi (5100), Nurse (6000)

Another Edmonton game, another slate where McDavid is still under 10k. I feel like I’m just repeating myself every time Edmonton is on the slate. He’s a superhuman freak that can bust open the slate. Same goes for Draisaitl. If you want to stack other Oilers, Nurse and Puljujarvi would be my only preferred options.

Raymond (5300), Larkin (6800), Bertuzzi (6700), Seider (5300)

The benefactors of playing the all-offense Oilers! It’s the only game with a 6.5 goal game total, which means we could see some Wings pop up. I don’t mind the second line here, as they’re certainly viable at those cheap prices. But I want the top line and top unit that has scored a shit ton this season.

Kopitar (7600), Kempe (3600)

The primary benefactor of Viktor Arvidsson’s absence has been Adrian Kempe, who has slid into the vacant winger spot on the top line and has points in each of his last four games. Pairing him up with the Slovenian god Anze Kopitar makes too much sense against a pitiful Canadiens team.

Gaudreau (5300)

Well, the Sharks’ hot start to the season is beginning to cool down and they get a tough matchup in Calgary. With all of these injuries and a great price, Johnny Gaudreau is a fantastic one-off or a first option in a Calgary stack, preferably with either Lindholm or Tkachuk.

GPP Options

Guentzel (6800), Rust (5000)

I cannot imagine the Pens being popular tonight with a big ten game slate. A matchup against the Blackhawks is a huge boon for a guy like Guentzel who is an elite winger in his own regard and can put up a crooked number with anyone. A wonderful mini-stack with him and a too cheap Bryan Rust makes a ton of sense and should go overlooked.

Dadonov (3100), Stephenson (5900), Theodore (6500)

This should be an underrated game for offense. A depleted Knights team getting a shot at the new kids on the block could prove to be profitable. Evgeni Dadonov is the only important guy that’s cheap. Everyone else is fairly priced, but I still think this Knights team is better than the Kraken. I’ll happily take a shot on a 2nd line, 1st power play unit winger for 3100 along with his teammates.
